Hello there, I’m Karen!
As a Nana of two adorable grandbabies, and mother of three amazing grown up’s, I bring over 35 years of experience in customer service and care to my role as a Wedding and Funeral Celebrant.
I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and oftentimes strive to make people feel better about themselves which is an innate ability that I have.
I trained in Life Coaching and Hypnotherapy years ago, and these skills enhanced my passion for helping others, but they were not enough to fill my cup so to speak. Known for my kindness, empathy, and compassion, I have always had an affinity with people, and try to give them the best experience possible within my Customer Service capacity, often receiving awards for having gone that extra mile. I have a great sense of humour, and enjoy making people laugh and see the funny side of things, even when in the midst of otherwise somewhat stressful situations.
I have excellent communication skills and have been told on numerous occasions that I have a calming presence and can help people feel comfortable and at ease, even in the face of adversity.
I enjoy creative writing and have written wonderful poems for family and friends. When both of my sons were married in 2021, I penned quirky ditties of their lives from birth until their Wedding Day for both and had guests both laughing, and crying throughout . I received standing ovations on both occasions, and this was when, after lots of guests at each Wedding had approached me to say how much they loved my writing, the seed to become a Celebrant was planted.
I believe I have found my true vocation in this field, and I will go above and beyond for all of my clients with passion, dedication and commitment to their individual needs, to create bespoke Wedding & Naming Ceremonies and also Funeral Eulogies that will leave lasting memories for all involved…
